For Utopian Slumps' inaugural exhibition, Damp conceived and realised a new installation work for the space entitled 'It's a World Full of Hurt'.
Since the mid-90's, Damp has become widely known for its series of mythic performances and actions addressing the complex relationships between art and audiences. These gestures often resulted in comedic and sometimes violent and tragic ends. More recently the group has constructed impromptu sculptures and installations which further conflate the journey of the message and its reception.
Damp currently comprises artists James Lynch, Narelle Desmond, Sharon Goodwin, Ry Haskings, Geoff Newton and Lisa Radford.
