Working from the premise that memory is often selective and history is always told with an agenda, Pilot has invited fourteen outstanding Melbourne artists to contribute work that reveals or re-examines a historical narrative - personal or global.
Through a range of media the participating artists will each tell us a story, remind us of things we've all forgotten, explore the experiential nature of their own best or worst moments, or shine a spotlight on a dim corner of history.
Taken as a whole, Flux Capacitor will activate the space with celebrations and memorials, champion the otherwise overlooked and question our acceptance of personal and historical narratives.
Pilot is a curatorial collaborative comprising Rosemary Forde, Jess Johnson and Meredith Turnbull.
