Conor O'Brien was born in South Africa, raised in Perth, lived in Sydney and Vancouver and currently resides in Melbourne. 'Westside' is the fruits of a year living by the beach in Perth, an amazing compilation of landscapes, portraits and observations of the people and places around him. A series of familiar yet uneasy photographs inspired by a particular moment in time, the photographer finds magic in the smaller details - the light across his subject's face or an image capture just before, or just after, something is about to happen.
